Resumen

El presente artículo constituye una reflexión acerca de las conexiones entre el patrimonio cultural, la institucionalidad que lo protege, las comunidades locales, y las potencialidades de uso de este tipo de recursos 

Intentamos dar cuenta de las tensiones y convergencias que existen entre las concepciones proteccionistas más tradicionales y aquellas que apuntan a la promoción y disfrute de los bienes culturales. En este contexto el museo es una instancia que conjuga ambas posibilidades, al poner a disposición de las comunidades locales y de los visitantes una interpretación del patrimonio que invita a conectarse con la identidad de un territorio. El museo se constituye así, en un espacio que busca el equilibrio entre perspectivas en tensión.

El turismo cultural permite problematizar el uso del patrimonio y ofrece a los museos la oportunidad de repensar su rol, transformándose en promotores del aprovechamiento sustentable de los recursos culturales. Esta reflexión es asumida por la institucionalidad patrimonial como un desafío que es la base de una nueva política. En una primera etapa, se plantea desarrollar un estudio en dos museos del sur de Chile, orientado a establecer circuitos turísticos culturales que potencien el valor los bienes patrimoniales regionales e impulsan el compromiso de las comunidades locales en este proceso.

Abstract

This Article envolve thinkingh about the relationiship between cultural patrimony, the institutions wich safeguard, local comunities and the potencial use of this patrimony for tourism.

We try to account for the antagonim and common points that exist between protectionist notions and those wich poibnt to promoting the enjoiment cultural goods. Museums constitute in this context a space that brings together both aspects by offering the comnities and visitors a view of this patrimony that allow them to come into contact with the identity of a land.

Cultural tourism allows us to problematize the uses of patrimony and offers the museums the oportunity to  rethink ther role, by becaming promoters of the sustainable use of the patrimony.

These considerations are taken up by the institution that protect patrimony as a challenge that founds new policies. During a first stage we propose to  study two museums in the souht of chile focused on  establishinfg cicuits of cultural tourism that would increase the value of regional patrimonial goods and ghenerate the envolvement of local comunities in this process.
